“According to Wikipedia, “Learning is the process of acquiring new or modifying existing, knowledge, behavior, skills, values or preferences. The ability to learn is possessed by humans, animals and some machines. There is also evidence for some kind of learning in certain plants”.

The saddest thing is that we are living in a society that is so busy in its regular life that it doesn’t even understand the meaning of ‘Learning’ properly. We just think that we are learning something new which can bring us new skills that make us either wealthy or famous.

Human brain is most complex thing in the entire solar system which can understand, process and acquire new information or skill quickly and put it in to action.

This is a ‘Super Power’. Which means everyone is a ‘Superman’ or a ‘Superwoman’.

The general conception is that only students or someone who enrolled in some classes or courses are involved in the process of learning. But, human being is in a continuous process of learning everyday. No matter what the age is, where they belong to even if they are not enrolled in any course or class. We learn about many things around us everyday including weather, society, politics, entertainment, etc through various channels like from colleagues or family or neighbors or friends or media (Print, TV, radio, internet etc.,).

Now, we need to know how can we use this ‘superpower’ and make wonders around us. As long as we are involved in studies we feel scoring good marks is the measure of “Learning”. This means, if you are not able to score well you will be treated as you are ‘useless’.They start judging your survival skills.

But, many of us already know that just looking at scores in education is not a wise way to measure the capability of a student or a person. All that we learn in our education system can be categorized as ‘Good to know things’

This is much different from actual survival skills ‘Must Know things’ which are not part of the education system. If we carefully think and analyze, we can live without knowing ‘Good to know things’. Infact, you can see many examples in our society, who are not educated and are doing very well in earnings. But, they surely know or would have learnt ‘Must know things’ atleast some of them.

So, here we need to understand that current education systems will make us just qualified, although you should spend time in mastering ‘Must know things’ to join a particular role in an organization.

Everything that we learn in our education systems, in our schooling and colleges which will make us qualified to join a job and earn. Everyone is so busy with the end goal of earning money, but there are few references below in this article of what few great minds of thought about the process of learning.

Below are the skills that are must in our learning process to survive and succeed easily. Nowadays, the below mentioned skills have become a default job description for many roles.

1. Communication skills

Communicating your ideas/knowledge/skills to others is a very key skill that almost everyone should have. It is a must skill in every organization in the current days.

2. Problem-solving skills

There are always problems to solve in a professional career, and being able to do so effectively takes critical thinking skills, flexibility, and emotional intelligence to consider others’ viewpoints in addition to your own.

3. Organization and planning skills

Getting a lot of things done in a short time can be achieved by proper organization and planning instead of spending time randomly on different tasks. This helps you to focus and achieve the best results on the task. This demonstrates that you are highly productive, you avoid doing things the long and inefficient way.

4. Management skills

Learning management skills can allow you to take leadership positions within your position and be a pathway to advancement. Learning how to manage tasks or people also teaches you about yourself and can be a boost to other skills like, productivity, communication, and emotional intelligence.

5. Having a positive attitude and service mindset

A positive attitude not only makes you someone who people want to be around, but it can also help you perform better at every task that you work on. This will help in many scenarios when dealing with family/people around you to co-workers, helps maintain a good attitude and is also highly effective, preventing many problems.
